Today, 5th class took part in the Big Dig - it was literally a BIG DIG!
The class got to see lots and lots of different artefacts from the Viking times - such as weapons, skulls, helmets & jewellery worn by the people at this time
Then in pairs they got to work as real archaeologists excavating the site of a Viking dwelling
They used buckets, trowels and spades to excavate the soil for different artefacts
Look at what they found!!
