In term 1, 5th class took part in a project created by Irish Aid, to help us to learn more about children and families in developing countries around the world today. We learned about how Ireland and other developed countries have been and need to continue to work together to create and maintain a safer, fairer world.
This year the Our World Irish Aid Award's theme was called "partnership for the goals". We learned about how important it is for people in different countries to work together to make the world more safe and fair. We read stories, completed puzzles, created posters and artwork, along with lots of other activities!
In March, 5th class were informed that 8 pupils from the class had their work selected to be published in the 2nd edition of Our World e-magazine, a wonderful achievement! It was great to have so many pupil's hard work recognised!
Well done to Marcel, Erin, Siuzanna, Shannon, Alizé, Maebh, Freya and Layla!
